Language Futures is a project, supported by the Association for Language Learning, (ALL), of which Chase Lane School and its staff are members. It’s an initiative to equip students to be autonomous language learners. Rather than teach a language, staff help students to identify their own language learning goals and plan their route to success using peers, on line resources and mentors to support them. Children work at their own pace on projects that interest them.
The club runs Mondays at lunchtime during the winter and spring terms. This year the children have worked in Hindi, Spanish and German according to their choice, to learn how to talk about themselves and their school. Look at the clips to see how they got on!
If you speak another language and are interested in becoming a mentor, call Mrs Sage at school. Half an hour every 2-3 weeks . we can’t wait to hear from you!
