Chase Lane Primary School and Nursery

Aspire. Strive. Achieve.

Home Page

Welcome to the PTA section of our website.

The Associates of Chase Lane (ACL) is run by an enthusiastic committee which raises funds for the benefit of the children at Chase Lane. The ACL gives pupils, their families and friends a chance to become more involved in the Chase Lane community.

We appreciate any help and support parents or carers can give us. This may be as a helper at an event, sponsorship by your Company/business, or much needed donations for our raffles.

All profits made are put to great use within the school and help pay for projects.

Christmas 2017

Santa’s Grotto

Children enjoyed visiting Santa in his North Pole Grotto. The Year 2 igloo (made from old milk bottles) helped set the arctic scene. Thank you to the ACL helpers for organising the event and for spending the day accompanying children to Santa.

ACL Christmas Foodbank Collection 2017

Pupils and parents very kindly donated food and winter clothes to the Harwich Foodbank. Volunteers at the Foodbank, attended Chase Lane’s morning assembly and talked to children about how donations help people in need, living in the local area.  The children and staff looked very colourful in their Christmas attire.

Sponsored Fun Run

Well done to all the children who took part in our sponsored Fun Run on 29th September 2017. We were all very impressed with the children’s efforts. Many thanks to members of the ACL, staff and volunteers who supported the event; it was a great success. So far, we have raised £2300, which will go towards improvements to the swimming pool.

Halloween discos a hit with the children.
On Wednesday 19th October the ACL organised and ran two very successful Halloween discos for years 3-6. The children really appreciated everyone's efforts. To read more please click Here.

Asda Token Success

Asda Token Success 1
Mrs O'Mara and Mrs Griggs recently collected a cheque for £200, on behalf of the ACL. Thank you to everyone who put their green tokens in our slot, you helped us secure second place against some very prickly opposition. The money raised is going to be put towards the school's new sensory room, immediately making a difference to our children.
