ACL

The Associates of Chase Lane (ACL) is run by an enthusiastic committee which raises funds for the benefit of the children at Chase Lane. The ACL gives pupils, their families and friends a chance to become more involved in the Chase Lane community.

We appreciate any help and support parents or carers can give us. This may be as a helper at an event, sponsorship by your Company/business, or much needed donations for our raffles.

All profits made are put to great use within the school and help pay for projects.

Each year the ACL help by raising money for all sorts of things like: school discos, sports day treats, iPads, help towards our Christmas Grotto, years 5's bee garden each year, Years 6's leavers BBQ, Year 6 autograph books plus many more exciting opportunities to help enrich our children's experiences here at chase lane.

17th December 2020

Last week, the Associates of Chase Lane organised a festive dress day at Chase Lane School & Nursery, when children were surprised by a visit from a special person who dropped off a present for every child in the school. In return for wearing non-uniform, the ACL asked for money donations for Harwich Foodbank. Overwhelmed by the generosity of their families, they were delighted to donate the amazing amount of £549.35 to Harwich Foodbank. The Foodbank told the ACL that they were overwhelmed with the donation. Everyone at Chase Lane hopes this will help families in need this Christmas and would like to thank everyone who donated.

Sponsored Fun Run 2020

The Sponsored Fun Run is back! We are holding this popular event on Friday 3rd of April during the afternoon. Sponsorship forms have been sent home with the children.

Year 5 and 6 Quiz Night - A huge hit! 

February 2020

Some of the older children thought it was unfair that the adults got all the fun at the regular ACL quiz nights held at United Services Club. They asked if a quiz could be arranged for them to try. The ACL agreed this was an excellent idea and decided to give it a go. The children in year 5 and year 6 enjoyed a fantastic evening sharing their knowledge in teams. It was a huge success and something the ACL would love to do again next year. 

A Magical Christmas - a visit to Santa’s Grotto

Once again, many children enjoyed visiting Santa in his North Pole Grotto.  Thank you to the ACL helpers for organising the event and for spending the day accompanying children to Santa.  It was a truly magical day for all involved.

ACL Christmas Foodbank Collection

The generosity of Chase Lane families is becoming legendary at the Harwich Food Bank. Volunteers at the Foodbank attended a school assembly to thank the children for their donations. Some very full cars transported lots of essential items to the Fodbank hub where they were prepared into hampers for families in need in the local area. The Foodbank were extremely grateful for all the donations.

Our School Discos

The ACL loves putting on discos for children in year 1 up to year 6. These are always popular events. Our aim is to have two discos each year, A spring disco and an Autumn disco.
